How we got our name
Fortress 111
Rob’s great uncle, Chief Master Sergeant Denton Armstrong, lived a life of extraordinary service and courage. At the very start of World War II, he was at Pearl Harbor, working as a welder to repair damaged ships in the aftermath of the attack. Not long after, he entered the military, and by the fall of that year, he was serving in uniform.

Assigned to Europe, he flew an astonishing 73 missions in a B-17 Flying Fortress out of Mendlesham, England. His unit often relied on the famous Tuskegee Airmen, the “Red Tails,” to escort their bombing runs, a bond of trust and survival that shaped the outcome of many missions. Years later, during the Vietnam War in 1968 and 1969, he once again took to the skies, this time out of Korat Royal Thai Air Base, flying 38 additional missions. In total, he completed 111 combat missions, a testament to his crews’ resilience and devotion.

To this day, a photograph of him and his crew still hangs at the Boar’s Head Bar in England, a quiet reminder of his team’s remarkable legacy.

Carrying forward that tradition of service, Rob recently deployed with the 332nd Air Expeditionary Wing: the original wing of the Tuskegee Airmen. Just as his great uncle’s wing once called on the Red Tails for protection over Europe, he had the honor of serving under their enduring legacy, bridging past and present in the story of American airpower.

THE FACTS
Decision-Making in Technology:
Lessons from Asteroids
In 1979, Atari released one of its most iconic arcade games: Asteroids. Set in the vast emptiness of space, the player pilots a triangular spaceship tasked with shooting and avoiding endless waves of drifting asteroids. The genius of the game was its simplicity; no levels, no story, just survival. Every moment required rapid judgment: should you blast the rock in front of you, or dodge to the side. This game for Fortress 111 Advisory became a metaphor for managing complexity, where choices had consequences and the pace never slowed.
Today, leaders in technology face a similar challenge. Decision-making in both personal and enterprise contexts can feel like navigating a field of asteroids. Each tool, platform, or framework that drifts into view represents both opportunity and risk. Choosing a new cybersecurity solution, migrating to cloud services, or integrating AI into workflows is akin to targeting a rock: hitting one may clear the way, but it may also break into smaller, faster-moving pieces that demand even more attention.
The sheer volume of options in the modern technology ecosystem amplifies this effect. Productivity apps, collaboration platforms, data analytics tools, and executive leadership frameworks crowd the “screen” of our decision space. Leaders must constantly evaluate: Which initiative moves us forward? Which tool is redundant? Which distraction threatens collision? Just like in Asteroids, hesitation can be costly, but reckless firing at everything only multiplies the chaos.
Executive leadership in this environment is about more than speed; it is about strategy. The best Asteroids players don’t simply shoot at every rock; they anticipate movement, conserve resources, and position themselves for long-term survival. Similarly, successful technology leaders must balance immediate action with thoughtful vision. They must recognize patterns, align resources, and guide their teams toward clarity amidst the noise.

In many ways, the lesson of Asteroids remains timeless: survival and success depend not only on reflexes but on perspective. The digital world may offer more tools than ever before, but leadership means knowing when to act, when to wait, and when to chart a new course entirely. In technology as in gaming, it is not just about blasting obstacles. It is about navigating toward the future with purpose.

THE MISSION
At the heart of our company is a belief that true progress begins with people.
Our experience has shown us that while many leaders excel as great technicians, they often lack the fully mature skills needed to help themselves, and those they lead…truly thrive rather than merely survive. We are committed to closing that gap by cultivating leadership development at every level. By equipping individuals with the tools, confidence, and mindset to grow as leaders, we empower teams to reach their highest potential and create environments where innovation, resilience, and trust can flourish.
A company can have an outstanding culture where people feel valued and engaged yet still struggle if its processes are poorly defined or inconsistently applied, leaving talent underutilized and results unpredictable. Likewise, even the most advanced technologies lose their value when introduced into an environment where culture is weak or toxic, because without trust, collaboration, and shared purpose, tools cannot overcome disengagement. On the other hand, a business may have disciplined and well-documented processes, but if technical implementation and automation lag behind, the result is rigidity, inefficiency, and missed opportunities for growth. True organizational excellence requires balance across all three dimensions; people, process, and technology…so that people are supported, workflows are effective, and tools amplify rather than hinder performance.
Our mission is grounded in the strength of our processes. We design systems and workflows that balance efficiency with adaptability, enabling us to respond to challenges with precision while fostering creativity. Through disciplined execution and a culture of accountability, our processes provide the framework that transforms great ideas into measurable outcomes.
Technology is the force that amplifies our vision. We embrace cutting-edge solutions not as ends in themselves, but as tools to unlock possibilities for people and to streamline processes. By integrating the right technologies into every aspect of our work, we enhance productivity, strengthen decision-making, and accelerate growth for our company and the communities we serve.
Together…people, process, and technology, form the foundation of who we are. Our mission is to weave these three elements into every decision, product, and service we deliver, ensuring that innovation is always human-centered, operationally sound, and technologically advanced. In doing so, we strive to create lasting impact, not just for today, but for generations to come.
